New NSF Grant: Learning Joint Crowd-Space Embeddings for Cross-Modal Crowd Behavior Prediction

Happy to announce that we have been recently awarded a new NSF grant:

Collaborative Research: RI: Medium: Learning Joint Crowd-Space Embeddings for Cross-Modal Crowd Behavior Prediction

This $1M grant from the Division of Information & Intelligent Systems / Robust Intelligence will be a joint research effort with my colleagues Prof. Mubassir Kapadia, from Rutgers CS, and Sejong Yoon, my former student and now Prof. at TCNJ. The award supports, over the next four years, a unique research project that aims to bring together state of the art in probabilistic multimodal Machine Learning, crowd & behavior modeling, and building design, while also focusing on promoting undergraduate research.

Huge congratulations and thanks to my collaborators!
